Tess – Beautiful at 87

Beauty definitely comes with age … you only have to look at Tess to agree with my statement.  She is a stunner.

Only 87 year young and still have a zest for life.  She is a grandmother with a heart of gold.  She is genuine, compassionate, caring and definitely loving.  Within 5 minutes of meeting her, it felt like I knew her for years.  She is super fashionable (was the owner of her on boutique for years) and will not let age get in the way of expressing her style & beauty.   I normally have to guide women when it comes to what they need to wear and bring along for their session, but with Tess there was no need to do any of this.  She was told to bring 3 outfits and she styled them perfectly according to who she is.  She is young at heart and super funky!  I can honestly see why she is adored by her family.  I loved it when she said that her house is always open to her family & friends. She oozes with positivity and will not allow age to defy her.

Dear Tess, you are a super star and a darling.  I absolutely loved photographing you.  I can see why your family is so deeply in love with you.  Don’t ever let your fashion sense be influenced by the word “old”.  I love it that you stay true to who you are.

Much love,

Natasha xoxo

Beautiful Perth Maternity session – Charlotte

I’ve been wanting to try my hand at some studio maternity photography with specific ideas in mind.  I must admit, I’m very happy with how Charlotte’s #perthmaternity session turned out.  I love working with Rana, who really and truly does the best make-overs ever.

Thank you Charlotte for giving up some Saturday time for this session.  I enjoyed working with you.

Much love

Natasha xoxo

Dan & Michelle – Riverbank Estate Winery

If I’ve ever met a bride who was on time … and I mean on time, it was Michelle.

Dan & Michelle got married a couple of weeks ago at the beautiful Riverbank Estate.  It’s the first time we photographed at this venue and I was super impressed to say the least.

Michelle, a teacher by profession, knows how to plan and so everything went according to plan on the day.  The wedding ceremony was scheduled to start at 15:30, and that is the exact time it started.  Any guests that thought they could arrive late “because all brides are late for the ceremony” made a huge mistake.  The ceremony was simply lovely and a joy to behold for all family and friends present.

We had a blast with the photo session afterwards at the venue.  For a couple that told me they are camera shy before the day started, I had to ask myself why?  They were very relaxed in front of the lens – pro models if you ask me!!

The vineyards at the venue made for some spectacular photos. I simply love the colours at this time of year, and it proved to be a very romantic location.

Then there was the bridal party.  What a great bunch of guys and girls.  Lots of fun together and heaps of laughter during their photo shoot.

The lowly lit reception at the venue proved to be a great choice, and there was a view as well!!  I have to give special mention to Dan’s dad who made the most beautiful wedding cake.  Seems there are lots of hidden talents in both families.

Dan & Michelle, you guys are great – a wonderful couple who puts God first.  We wish you all the best and a long and happy married life together.

We hope you love your photo’s just as much as we love them.

Much love,

Alex & Candace – Brookleigh Estate

We always seem to photograph the most real, honest and nicest couples ever … true story!

We met Candace when she was the bridesmaid at Tim & Sakari’s wedding a couple of years ago. Now Sakari returned the favour. So I was super happy when she got in contact with me to book us for her wedding at Brookleigh Estate.

When we met Alex for the first time, we hit it off straight away … something really important for any photographer. We were super comfy in each other’s company and so we just knew this will be another great winning wedding to photograph. The 1st thing the both of them said to me was that they really are not photo people … always uncomfortable and awkward in front of a camera. Even throughout their session on the day, they would laugh and say they are not to sure about how they would look on their photo’s. Well … you be the judge of their comments. I think they look simply awesome … models if you ask me 🙂  On a side note … if there were ever an award to be handed out to the most emotional groom, it would have to go to Alex.  He had all of our hearts melting when he saw Candace for the first time!

Alex & Candace, you are the nicest couple who made us feel part of your guests from the get go. We never felt like suppliers, we felt like we knew you for years before. We had an absolute blast photographing you! You have beautiful friends and family and we could see how much love there was for you throughout the day.

We wish you nothing but blessings & happiness for the future.

Much love,

Nicolas Turning 4

FUN, FUN, FUN … and more FUN

This is the 4th year we got to photograph this little guy.  I always love working around things and activities that will show the personality of children and with this session we surely had loads of fun.  It was an early morning start as we decided to photograph Nicolas at 7am.  The weather definitely a bit more chilly than a couple of months ago, but we always come prepared packing towels, blankets & warm water,

Nicolas is a real little boy … loves his trucks, lego, farming and running around.  He definitely keeps us on our toes.  For his session, we definitely played around what he loves doing, but we also had some fun with watermelon & finger paints.  Let’s just say I might have gotten the biggest paint hug ever … but I did not care as I really had lots and lots of fun photographing him.

It’s sessions like this which makes me value my photography hubby even more.  He was helping me photograph Nicolas as well as playing with him and helping him break open his watermelon and holding him when he wanted to climb in the tree.  Thanks hubby dearest 🙂

I really love being creative on shoots and this was right up my ally.

Enjoy looking at the photo’s of the cutest little boy.

Much love,

Dental Reflections Corporate Shoot

I love it when I’m given the all clear to be creative on a shoot.

When Ina, the owner and principal dentist of Dental Reflections in Joondalup, booked me to do their corporate shoot she had a specific brief … it had to be authentic and outside the box.  She did not want the ordinary. I knew I had to come up with something fun and quirky and so I put together an idea board to guide her and help her decide on which ideas she liked the most.

The photoshoot was so much fun … loads of laughter, funny faces, jokes and just an all round team building experience.

The end result exceeded her expectations, which makes me feel great about presenting these images to you.

Thank you Ina & team for a fun filled afternoon.  I truly enjoyed myself every minute.

Thanks to Rana Mos for perfect make-up for the girls.

Much love

Anthony & Vanessa’s Wedding – Fremantle Town Hall & Esplanade Hotel

When a touch of old charm and a beautiful couple meet, you have a very stylish, chic &  timeless wedding.  This is how I can describe the Fremantle wedding of Anthony & Vanessa a couple of weeks ago.

They held their ceremony at the Fremantle Town Hall followed by the reception at The Esplanade hotel

There was so much love and respect between them, their family & friends.  Most weddings have teary eyed moments, and this one was no different. Most of Anthony’s family lives in Chile and since only a handful could be here with them, they decided to do a live broadcast of their ceremony to the family in Chile.  As a surprise to everyone, including Anthony, she read her vows in both English and Spanish … and thanks to her in-laws help with the correct pronunciation, she did an amazing job.

We photographed their e-session earlier this year throughout the streets of Fremantle and so they knew exactly where they wanted their wedding photo’s done … that was until Vanessa’s beautiful heels got the better of her feet.  Anyway, she and her aching feet worked together and pushed through and to make it easier on her feet, we took different (and shorter) walkways to the hotel.  The result … we loved not using the same spots as on their e-session!

Thanks guys for having us capture your beautiful and special day.  We loved spending time with you and love how your wedding story unfolds in our images.

Much love,

Deon & Natasha

Anthony & Vanessa’s Fremantle E-session

When you photograph a stunning couple, magic happens!

How absolutely gorgeous is Anthony & Vanessa.  We had the absolute pleasure of photographing their e-session in Fremantle.  They will be getting married there in 4 weeks time and so we walked the streets to find the perfect spots for their session & upcoming wedding.  These 2 are so in love, so easy in front of the lens and really only have eyes for each other.  They made our job super easy and really fun.

We are extremely excited and looking forward to capture their beautiful wedding in February.  They definitely are the dream couple!

Much love,

Natasha xoxo

Reuben & Nicole’s E-session

Perth is known for it’s wind this time of year and boy did we have wind on the day Reuben & Nicole chose to do their e-session a couple of weeks ago.  But I love it when a couple embraces the weather like they did.

Nicole wanted their 1st part to have a forest feel and so we opted for the gorgeous Wanneroo Pines.  She bought her beautiful bright red dress online from Boohoo and it absolutely suited the forest just perfectly.

The 2nd part of their session was photographed at Quinns Rocks beach.  This time the wind really really blew and it was super cold, but both Reuben & Nicole was not going to let the weather interfere with their session.  I knew that this type of weather would produce absolutely amazing photo’s and I was not disappointed one bit.  The clouds, the light, the wind & the couple … everything was just perfect!

Thanks Reuben & Nicole for being super fun and up to anything we suggested.  We loved spending time with you guys.

Baby Daniel & Family

Peaceful, beautiful and special … that’s how I can describe this little guy.  Little Daniel was born a couple weeks ago and is the newest member of the Labuschagne family.

I’ve had the pleasure to photograph big brother Nicolas for the last 3 years to celebrate each birthday.  Soon we will have our 4th celebration session. (Have a look at his 1st, 2nd & 3rd sessions.)

I love doing natural sessions like this one.  Everyone is comfy and relaxed in their own familiar space.  We even got a couple of smiles from little Danieal … OK … burb smiles, but they do count as smiles don’t they 🙂

Thanks dear Labuschagne family for having us capture you guys as a family of 4, we had so much fun and loved the results.

Much love,

Natasha xoxo
